1. Who is responsible for your data
Hola Holidays, a tour operator registered in Morocco, is the data controller for the information described in this policy. Our registered address and business identifiers are set out at the bottom of this page.
Questions, requests and complaints about privacy can come to contact@hola-holidays.com.
2. Information we collect
We only collect what we need to run a booking or answer a question.
- Booking details
- Your name, email address, telephone or WhatsApp number, the hotel or area you are staying in, the date and time you booked, the number of adults and children travelling, and any note you add to the booking.
- Enquiry details
- The name, email address, optional phone number and message you send us through the contact form, together with the type of enquiry you selected.
- Technical information
- The pages you visit on this site, the experience you looked at, whether you clicked through to the booking form, your approximate language preference and the browser you used.
- Records of our contact
- Messages exchanged with our team by email, WhatsApp or telephone in connection with a booking.
We do not ask for and do not store card numbers or bank details on this website. Bookings are normally paid in cash at pickup.
3. Why we use it
- To set up, confirm and run your booking, including arranging your hotel pickup.
- To reach you by email, telephone or WhatsApp with details, changes or questions about your trip.
- To answer questions and help you before, during and after an experience.
- To keep accounting and booking records that we are required to keep.
- To understand which pages and experiences people are interested in, so we can improve the site and what we offer.
4. Our lawful grounds
- Performance of a contract
- Most of what we hold is needed to provide the experience you booked — confirming it, arranging pickup and taking payment.
- Legal obligation
- Some booking and accounting records have to be kept for a set period under Moroccan commercial and tax rules.
- Legitimate interests
- Running and improving our business, keeping the site working and secure, and understanding which experiences travellers are looking for.
- Consent
- Where we ask you to agree to something specific — for example a marketing message — you can withdraw that agreement at any time.
5. Who else sees your information
We never sell your personal information. It is shared only where a booking cannot happen without it, or where we are required to.
- The guide, driver or partner operator delivering your experience on the day, who receives what they need to collect you and run the trip.
- Our email and website hosting providers, who process data on our behalf.
- Professional advisers and authorities where the law requires it, or where we need to establish or defend a legal claim.
This website also loads a small number of third-party services that receive your IP address and browser information as part of serving their content:
| Service | What it does | Privacy information |
|---|---|---|
| Google reCAPTCHA | Checks that form submissions come from a person, not a script. | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Google Translate | Powers the language switcher in the site header. | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Google Fonts | Serves the typefaces used across the site. | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Cloudflare cdnjs | Serves the icon font used in navigation and buttons. | cloudflare.com/privacypolicy |
| Groq | Answers questions you choose to ask our website assistant. | groq.com/privacy |
Our website assistant is optional. If you never open it, no conversation content is sent to Groq. Please do not enter payment details or sensitive personal information into the chat.
6. Cookies and analytics
We keep this simple. This site does not run advertising or third-party tracking cookies, and we do not build advertising profiles of visitors.
- Analytics
- Statistics are collected by our own server, not by an outside analytics company. When you open an experience page or click through to the booking form, a single anonymous event is recorded — the page, the experience and a session identifier. Your IP address is not stored with that event.
- Browser storage
- Your browser holds a short-lived marker so the same page view is not counted twice in one session. It is cleared when you close the tab and is not used to identify you.
- Language preference
- If you use the language switcher, Google Translate may set a cookie so your chosen language is remembered on your next visit.
- Form protection
- Google reCAPTCHA may set cookies on pages that contain a contact or booking form, in order to tell people and scripts apart.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work; the language switcher and the form protection are the parts that depend on them.
7. How long we keep it
Booking and enquiry records are kept for as long as we need them to run the booking, to deal with any follow-up or complaint, and to meet the accounting and tax record-keeping rules that apply to us. After that they are deleted or anonymised.
Anonymous website statistics, which contain no name or contact detail, are kept so we can compare one season with another.
If you would like a specific record removed and we are not required to keep it, ask us and we will confirm what we can do.
8. How we protect it
We take sensible technical and organisational steps to keep personal information away from anyone who should not see it. Access is limited to the people who need it to run your booking, and our site is served over an encrypted connection.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If we ever became aware of a breach affecting your information, we would tell you and the relevant authority without undue delay.
9. Where your information is held
Our booking records are held on servers used by our hosting provider, and accessed by our team in Morocco.
Some of the third-party services listed above are operated from outside Morocco, principally in the United States and the European Union. Where that is the case, your IP address and browser information may be processed there for the purpose of delivering the service. We choose providers that publish their own privacy commitments, and we do not send them booking or contact details.
10. Your rights
Under Moroccan Law 09-08 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data, you have the right to:
- Be told what personal data we hold about you and why.
- Ask for information that is wrong or incomplete to be corrected.
- Ask for information to be deleted where we are not required to keep it.
- Object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and withdraw consent where consent is the basis.
- Ask us to stop using your details for direct marketing at any time.
To exercise any of these, write to contact@hola-holidays.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act, and we will respond within a reasonable period.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can raise the matter with the Moroccan data protection authority, the Commission Nationale de contrôle de la protection des Données à caractère Personnel (CNDP).
11. Changes to this policy
We update this policy when the way we handle information changes. The date at the top of the page always shows the current version, and the version in force is the one published here at the time you use the site or book with us.
12. Contact and company information
For any question about this policy or about your personal information, contact us at contact@hola-holidays.com, on +212 670968019, or through WhatsApp.
