The experience

About this trip

Paradise Valley is the green heart of the Agadir hinterland — a canyon of palm trees, rock pools and clear water fed by the Atlas Mountains. We wind up through Imouzzer and the argan forests, stop at a women's argan cooperative to see how the 'liquid gold' is made, then reach the valley for a walk among the palms and (in spring and autumn) a swim in the natural pools.

On the way back we pass the banana village of Tamri and sweep down to the coast. Cool, scenic and easy — a favourite escape from the city heat.
